The Jack Zeigler and Mike Schwarz Scholarship will be given annually at the discretion of the District IV Committee and contingent upon available funds.

The successful applicants will complete an application (below) that includes how high school sport(s) have influenced them in a positive way. The award will be a one-time, $5,000 scholarship to one (1) male and one (1) female athlete. The money may be used for tuition and/or technology, books, or needed supplies. Each applicant must have participated in at least one sport for four years at the high school level. Additionally, he/she must be accepted at a four-year accredited institution, college, or university. Each applicant must have a sign-off by their principal and athletic director attesting that they are a successful candidate. (Only one (1) male and one (1) female applicant per school.)

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must be a senior.
2. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
3. Must have a verified post-secondary education entrance test score: SAT, ACT, or other.
4. Earned at least one varsity letter in a PIAA recognized sport.
5. Award winner is required to read essay at Spring meeting.
