Warriors take 3rd against Wyalusing, Wellsboro

Canton had a pair of third place finishes during their tri-meet against Wellsboro and Wyalusing.

The boys scored 50th for bronze, as Wyalusing (70) won followed by Wellsboro (65). On the girls' side Canton had 31.5 points, while Wyalusing (86.5) won followed by Wellsboro (71).

For the girls, Kendall Kitchen (13.99) was third in the 100, while Laci Niemczyk (30.33) was third in the 200.

Camille McRoberts won the 400 (1:04.63) and the 800 (2:34.61), while teammate Kali Wesneski (2;51.45) was third in the 800, and took third the 1600 in 6:27.87.

McRoberts was second in the 3200 at 14:26.98, while their 4x400 relay team of Kitchen, McRoberts, Niemczyk, and Wesneski won in 4:38.93.

Kaley Williams was third in the discus at 65-feet.

On the boys' side Isaiah Niemczyk won the 400 in 55.13, as teammate Ashton Rockwell (59.74) came in third.

Ben Fitch (2:27.87) was second and Brayden Vroman (2:41.45) third in the 800. Vroman (14:21.82) was second in the 3200, as Hunter Huffman (14:45.86) took third.

Niemczyk was third in the long jump at 18-feet, 2 3/4-inches, and in the triple jump at 37-feet, 9-inches.

Caiden Williams was second in the shot put at 41-feet, 1 1/2-inches, while Kyle Kapichok (38-feet 11-inches) came in third.

Kapichok (117-feet, 5-inches) was second in the discus, while Williams (112-feet, 4-inches) came in third.

Kapichok won the javelin in 121-feet.
