Canton fell 3-2 to Athens during NTL volleyball action.
They won the first set 25-14, but lost the next two sets 26-24 and 25-20. They rallied for a fourth set win of 25-18, but then fell 15-13 in the deciding set.
Vayda Bryan had 15 points, five aces, eight assists, and eight digs, with Kendall Kitchen getting 13 points, two assists, and 21 digs.
Chelsea Lehman had 13 points, nine kills, two aces, 10 digs, and two blocks for Canton as Makenna Seachrist had 10 points, a kill, three digs, and a block.
Addi Pepper notched 15 points, a kill, an ace, six assists, and nine digs, as Tara Gilbert had 11 points, eight kills, three aces, and 14 digs.
Cailyn VanNoy and Kaylynn Pidcoe had one dig each.
Canton lost the JV match 2-1, taking the first set 25-23, but then losing the next two 25-13 and 25-11.
Nevaeh Vroman had six points, five aces, four digs, an assist, and five kills for Canton as Dana Wesneski notched eight assists, two digs, and a kill.
Abbey Marbaker added six digs and four points, Gabby Thursby had a dig and a kill, VanNoy finished with five kills, Alley Marbaker had three digs with a kill, while Riley Gowin and Ashley Valera had two digs apiece.
