WESTFIELD, Pa. - Athens built an eight-point lead through three quarters, but Cowanesque rallied for a 41-38 win here Thursday night in NTL girls basketball action.
Sophomore McKenna Jarvis scored all six of the Wildcats' points in the opening stanza to help Athens to a 6-4 lead.
Jarvis added seven more points, including a 3-pointer in the second quarter, and freshman Allison Kemp, who also canned a 3-pointer, had five points in a 14-10 spurt that put the Wildcats up 20-14 at the halftime intermission.
