Troy girls' soccer clinched their sixth straight NTL title on Tuesday, and this season they finished it off before October, as they defeated Towanda 5-0.
Troy boys' cross-country went 2-1 in quad meet action. They fell to Towanda (19-36) but beat Athens (18-37) and Canton (23-32).
The Canton boys' cross-country team went 1-2 during quad meet action.
WELLSBORO - Junior Delanie Patton converted a penalty kick about five minutes into the game, and the Athens defense made it stand in a 1-0 win over Wellsboro here Tuesday afternoon in NTL Large School Division girls soccer action at Alumni Stadium.
TOWANDA - Athens avenged an early-season loss with a 3-1 win over Towanda here Tuesday night in NTL Large School Division volleyball action.
TOWANDA - Towanda had five of the top five finishers to go 3-0 in the girls race, but sophomore Alissa Vough's third-place finish led Athens to a pair of wins here Tuesday in NTL cross country action. The Athens boy were 0-3 on the day.
Wellsboro's Girls Cross Country team scored wins over Cowanesque Valley, North Penn-Mansfield and Northeast Bradford Tuesday afternoon over in Westfield.
Wellsboro swept Coudersport 3-0 for the second straight match Tuesday evening.
Wellsboro's Boys Cross Country team earned a 23-22 win over Cowanesque Valley but fell to North Penn-Mansfield and Northeast Bradford in an NTL quad meet in Westfield Tuesday afternoon.

The Wellsboro Girls Tennis team was edged out 3-2 by Muncy in their regular season final at Packer Park on Monday afternoon.
