Fitch Runs, Throws For 100-Plus Yards To Lead Canton Past Northwest Area

Canton rolled to a 42-6 win over Northwest in their football opener.

Ben Fitch had a big day, running the ball 10 times for 123 yards and a score, while going 6-for-8 through the air for 134 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Bailey Gardner added 10 carries for 79 yards and three scores, while Dawson Burgess had seven touches for 38 yards and a score.

Holden Ward had a 27-yard touchdown reception, with Aydin Holcomb hauling in three catches for 70 yards and Zach Colton getting two grabs for 37 yards.

Alexis McRoberts was 6-for-6 on extra points, while Ward led the team with 10 tackles.
