Cruttenden Hits 1,000 Dig Milestone In Win Over Coudersport

Senior Madison Cruttenden recorded her 1,000th career dig in a 3-1 non-league win over Coudersport on Monday evening.

Cruttenden had 30 digs to reach the milestone.

Wellsboro won the first set 25-19 then had the scored revered in a set two loss. Wellsboro then won the next two sets to close out the game, 25-16 in the third and 25-21 in the fourth.

Senior Ellie Largey had 25 assists, junior Peyton Keane had 14 kills, junior Adelyn Frantz scored 14 points on 6 assists and had 2 blocks and 11 kills, and junior Kendall Sweet added 9 kills. Junior Jillian Mickey added 16 assists, Largey scored 10 points on 2 aces and added 7 digs, and Keane added 8 digs.

Cruttenden also scored 10 points on 3 aces.

Coudersport won the JV game 2-1 (17-25, 25-21, 15-12) to snap a seven-game win streak. The JV team now sits at 8-2 on the season.

The Varsity team improves to 8-2 overall and have won their third straight.

The Lady Hornets are back in action tonight at Canton, then returns home to face Cowanesque Valley on Thursday. The team will recognize Cruttenden's milestone prior to Thursday's Varsity game.
