Troy's Offense Gets Hot In Win Over Wellsboro

WELLSBORO - Troy had nearly 500 yards of total offense as they rolled past Wellsboro, 49-12, during NTL football action Friday.

The Trojans finished with 239-yards on the ground off 37 carries, while they threw for 249-yards.

Spencer Martin went 7-for-8 for 241-yards and three touchdowns to lead Troy. Trey Teribury was his top target, with six catches for 185-yards and a touchdown.

Logunn Heasley and Josiah Pesesky also had touchdown catches.

Jayden Kutt led the ground attack with 51-yards and two scores on nine carries. Lucas Kress and Evan Allen also had rushing touchdowns.

Derrick Blasz led Wellsboro as he threw for 134-yards and two touchdowns on 11-for-20. Grady Morral was his top target, hauling in two passes for 45-yards and a score.

Reed Richardson led the team on the ground, rushing for 81-yards on nine carries.

Logunn Heasley got scoring going with a 61-yard touchdown reception from Martin for a 6-0 lead with 6:19 left in the first.

Just 12 seconds later Evan Allen Punched one in from a yard out, with Landon Lee hitting the point after for a 13-0 Trojan advantage.

With 30 seconds left in the quarter Pesesky caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from Martin for a 20-0 lead after Lee's kick.

With 5:18 left in the second Kutt punched one in from 2-yards out as Lee's kick made it 27-0.

Then with 56 seconds left in the half Martin found Teribury for a 96-yard scoring strike. The 2-point conversion was good, and it was 35-0 at the break.

A Kutt 22-yard run less than three minutes into the third quarter made it 42-0 after the Ethan Hoffman kick.

Wellsboro got on the scoreboard as Blasz hit Colton Hauser for a 15-yard scoring strike.

In the fourth Kress had a 19-yard scoring strike with Hoffman adding the point after.

The final score when Blasz hit Morral for a 39-yard touchdown reception for the 49-12 final.
