PIAA District IV Boys Soccer Post-Season Info
District IV will have 9 soccer teams advancing to the state tournament. Advancing will be (A) Girls 2 Teams, (AA) Girls 2 Teams, (AAA) Girls 1 Team. (A) Boys 1 Team, (AA) Boys 2 Teams, (AAA) Boys 1 Team, (AAAA) Boys and (AAAA) Girls will qualify through District 2.
Only official PIAA varsity games will be considered for your record. An official game is one with a PIAA contract (or league scheduled), and officials.
The district playoff games shall be conducted in accordance with the PIAA rules and regulations governing interscholastic sports competition. The National Federation Soccer Rules are the official PIAA rules. Teams that enter the playoffs agree to all the regulations established by the district soccer committee.
The district committee will assign officials and a game manager for each game.
Athletic Directors must enter their school's schedule into the Power Rating System (Gimpware) prior to the first legal play date which is August 23, 2024.
Any games versus a school not approved by PIAA SHOULD NOT be entered into the school's schedule or the Power Rating System. Please check the PIAA website if you have a question about a school being a member of PIAA.

Seeding
Teams will be seeded according to the power rating system as instituted by the District IV Committee. Tournament games tied at the conclusion of regulation play that have the tie broken with an overtime procedure will be counted as a win or a loss.
The lowest .500 team in each classification and all teams listed above that team in the power rankings will qualify for the district tournaments in each classification. A minimum of eight teams will qualify in Class 1A and Class 2A. A minimum of four teams will qualify in Class 3A.
The District IV Committee reserves the right to seed teams with special circumstances at it's discretion.

The final day for games to count is Saturday, October 19, 2024. ALL SCHOOLS MUST HAVE ALL GAMES ENTERED INTO THE POWER RATING SYSTEM BY THE END OF THE DAY ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2024.
Eligibility
To be eligible a school must play a minimum of 6 official varsity games by Saturday, October 19, 2024. Consideration may be given to teams that played less than 6 games if a scheduled game had to be postponed during the week of October 16, but all teams must make every effort to play every scheduled game. Games scheduled after the first game of the season will not be considered to qualify a team for district competition (or overall record) unless pre-approved by the District IV Committee.
Facilities
Schools that host home games for their team will pay expenses for game personnel. District IV will pay expenses for the site manager and officials. The teams on the top of the bracket will be the home team and wear dark colored uniforms. The visiting team will be responsible for wearing white uniforms.
The hosting school will school will pay all game expenses. The hosting school will provide all game personnel and provide a list to the game manager that lists game personnel which includes their name, duty, and fees paid to them. No rental fees will be paid to schools that host their own team. PLEASE NOTE THAT SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS ARE NOT NEEDED.
A Contract Site Lease agreement will be utilized for all games and sites. The fee paid to the host site will be listed on the agreement.
Game sites and times are to be determined.
The District IV Committee reserves the right to make changes to this year's tournament if necessary.
Awards
A team plaque will be awarded to each District IV Champion. Twenty-five (25) medals each will be presented to the first and second place teams.

Admission prices for all games will be $6.00 plus service fees through HomeTown Ticketing.
