With only two weeks left in the 2009 regular season, Towanda defeated Athens to win the NTL Large School championship. In other NTL action, Troy defeated North Penn 16-14, Wyalusing downed South Williamsport, Muncy defeated Sayre, and Cowanesque fell to Montgomery.
In other news, Loyalsock defeated Montoursville and Hughesville shut out Bloomsburg.
