Hornets shut out Liberty

The boys soccer team defeated Liberty 1-0 earlier today in Wellsboro. Junior Luke Rudy scored the lone goal for the Hornets in the 36th minute while Senior Goalie Luke Sampson recorded 2 saves to pick up his 5th shut out of the year. With the win, Wellsboro improves to 6-4-1 overall and 6-2 in the NTL West.
In JV action, Wellsboro defeated Liberty 1-0 on a goal from Gillian Alafoginis to improve to 3-5-2 on the year. The Hornets will be in action tomorrow as they host Northeast Bradford at 5:30 p.m.
