The Wellsboro boys basketball team beat rival North Penn in the Tuesday night, 39-38. Nick Tremper, Tony Cooper and Dawson Prough all rebounded very well (7, 9 and 10 respectively). Prough finished with 28 points and 11 steals, Cooper had 5 points and 6 steals, and Joe Allen added 6 points.
"We struggled with shot selection throughout the game and overcame one of our worst shooting performances of the year (25% from the field)," said head coach Dan Marple. "We did make good decisions down the stretch and finished the game strong/smart."
There was no B-Team game on the night. With the win, the Hornets improve their season record to 6-6 with two games remaining on the schedule.
