MS Football falls to Athens

The Wellsboro Middle School football team fell to Athens on the road last night, 20-12.
The Hornets took an early 12-0 lead after Cole Cavanaugh returned the opening kickoff, and Parker Jones broke a long run up the middle, but Athens was able to battle back and score 20 unanswered points.
With the loss, the Hornets fall to 2-3 on the year. The team will be back in action on Thursday, October 19 as they host Sayre.
