Hornet softball captures NTL West crown

The Wellsboro Varsity softball team clinched the NTL West title as they shut out Williamson 13-0 in 5 innings on Friday.
Freshman Alexa Singer allowed just one hit, struck out five, and allowed just one walk in the win. Singer and Sophomore Jordan Butters both had doubles while Freshman Sarah Ingerick and Senior Mackenzie Marple also had hits. Ingerick had 3 RBI's while Marple knocked in two runs.
Singer and Butters knocked in one run each.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 10-5 (6-1 NTL West). The team will be back in action on Monday, May 13 as they travel to Canton.
