Hornet volleyball falls to Troy in three games

The Wellsboro Varsity volleyball team fell to undefeated Troy Tuesday night in 3 games (25-16, 25-22, 25-19).
Wellsboro got eight kills from Junior Danielle Mihalik and Junior Jordan Butters had five kills. Senior Alex Kurtz had six points and nine assists and Junior Peyton Wilson had six points, an ace and four assists.
Senior Katie Straniere had 22 digs and Senior 6 Kaelyn Keane had three blocks.
In the J.V. match, the Lady Hornets won 25-8, 25-15. Sophomore Haley Zuchowski had 11 points and Sophomore Mikayla Feil had seven kills.
With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 5-5 (1-5 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Thursday, October 3 against Towanda.
