The Wellsboro Varsity girls soccer team traveled to Troy and suffered a 3-0 shut out Wednesday night.
Troy got on the scoreboard with 58 seconds remaining in the first half as Faith Ceely's kick found the net off an assist from Becca Case. At 17:24 of the second half Stephanie Ray Pazzaglia scored off a Ceely assist to make it 2-0 and at 12:22 the two changed roles with Pazzaglia assisting on a Ceely goal.
Troy had 10 shots and three corner kicks in the game and Wellsboro had three shots and one corner kick. Junior Meghan Bodine had eight saves in net.
"We played flat and were outplayed," said head coach Mike Hotchkiss.
With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 1-2 (0-1 NTL). The team will be back in action on Saturday, September 7 as they host Sayre.
