The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team dropped a home contest to Troy, 3-1 on Saturday, September 6.
Troy struck first in the contest in the 36th minute and again in the 48th minute before Junior Sarah Ingerick scored in the 56th minute off an assist from Junior Lindsey Graver to bring the score to 2-1 Troy.
Troy would add one more goal in the 64th minute to earn the victory, despite being out shot 15-10 and 5-0 in corner kicks by the Lady Hornets. Freshman Kailee Clymer stopped 5 shot in goal on the day.
In the JV game, Wellsboro lost 5-1.
With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 1-3 (1-2 NTL). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 9 as they travel to Sayre.
