The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Cross Country team finished in 10th out of 19 teams and the boys finished in 22nd of 22 teams at the Altoona Invite on Saturday, September 20.
The Lady Hornets scored 235 team points and the boys scored 531.
For the girls, Freshman Anna Bleggi was the top finisher in 33rd with a time of 21:52. Junior Jada Jackson was 37th (22:01), Junior Camryn Keane was 45th (22:28), Junior Jordyn Coffee was 64th (23:37), Senior Annie Sweeney was 78th (24:10), Senior Caitlynn Butler was 89th (24:50), and Junior Samantha Bailey was 109th (26:10).
For the boys, Sophomore Alden Weiner was 83rd (20:09), Sophomore Bryon Callahan was 92nd (20:21), Freshman Connor Brought was 119th (21:48), Freshman Kyle Wilson was 123rd (21:57), and Senior Dalton Messmer was 137th (23:00).
The teams will be back in action on Tuesday, September 23 as they travel to Coudersport.
