The Wellsboro Varsity wrestling team dropped two matches Thursday night as they hosted Wyalusing and Williamson.
The Hornets fell to Wyalusing 70-5 to start the evening. The Hornets' lone victory came at 145 lbs. as Senior Brandon Owlett earned a forfeit.
Against Williamson, the Hornets lost 61-12. Freshman Kaleb Smith pinned Nathan Larrison at 220 lbs., Sophomore Owen Covert picked up a 2-1 decision against Zane Fuller at 285 lbs., and Freshman Dominic Spencer won a 10-5 decision over Dereck Taylor at 170 lbs.
In the Middle School matches, the Hornets fell to Wyalusing 72-6 and won against Williamson, 23-21.
The two losses drop the Hornets to 0-12 (0-6 NTL). The team will be back in action on Saturday, January 25 as they travel to North Penn.
