The Wellsboro Varsity Cross Country teams competed in the NEPA Invite on Saturday, September 27.
The girls team came home 5th out of 18 teams with 193 points. Junior Jada Jackson was the top finisher as she came home 31st with a time of 22:04. Freshman Anna Bleggi was 32nd (22:04), Junior Jordyn Coffee was 52nd (23:10), Junior Camryn Keane was 55th (23:19), Junior Samantha Bailey was 63rd (23:40), Senior Annie Sweeney was 65th (23:46), and Senior Caitlynn Butler was 79th (24:15).
For the boys, Bryon Callahan was the top finisher in 116th (19:47) as the team finished in 25th of 27 teams. Sophomore Alden Weiner finished 122nd (20:04), Sophomore Joey Messmer was 147th (21:01), Freshman Connor Brought was 153rd (21:09), and Senior Dalton Messmer was 177th (23:08).
The teams will return to action on Tuesday, September 30 as they host Mansfield.
