The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team opened the 2014 season on the road and lost to Williamsport, 2-0 on Saturday, August 30.
Williamsport scored in the 15th minute and against in the 32nd minute to record the shut out. Williamsport also out-shot the Lady Hornets 15-13.
Freshman Kailee Clymer recorded 10 saves in goal for Wellsboro.
In the JV game, Wellsboro lost 2-0.
With the loss, the Lady Hornets start the 2014 season 0-1 (0-1 NTL). The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 2 as they travel to Wyalusing.
