Lady Hornets fall to Troy, 2-1

The Wellsboro Varsity softball team dropped a close 2-1 game to Troy on Tuesday, May 6.
Troy scored both of their runs in the fifth inning. Sophomore Sarah Ingerick doubled to score the Lady Hornets only run in the sixth.
Junior Peyton Wilson drove in Ingerick with her only hit of the night. Junior Paige Carr had the game's other hit. Senior Brooke Kohler struck out six and walked two in seven innings to earn the loss.
The Lady Hornets fall to 11-4 (4-4 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Thursday, May 8 as they host Coudersport.
