The Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team shut out Williamson 5-0 during Senior Night on Tuesday, October 14.
The Lady Hornets scored three first half goals. The first came in the 23rd minute from Sophomore Kelsey Logan. Junior Joey Taft scored two goals on the night with her first coming in the 28th minute and then later in the 43rd minute. Junior Sarah Ingerick scored in the 32nd minute, and Senior Lauren Bleggi scored the final goal to complete the shut out.
Bleggi, and Juniors Lindsey Graver and Shayna Cornell recorded assists on the night and Freshman Kailee Clymer made two saves in goal for the win.
In the JV game, Wellsboro won 1-0 to improve to 4-5-3.
The Varsity win improves the Lady Hornets' record to 10-5-1 (10-4-1 NTL). The team will be back in action for the final regular season game as they travel to Mansfield on Saturday, October 18.
