Middle School boys trounce CV, 56-16

The Wellsboro Middle School boys basketball team had three Hornets in double figures as they defeated Cowanesque Valley 56-16 on Tuesday night.
Collin Pietropola (14), Dalton Prough (13), and Quinn Henery (12) all scored in double digits on the night. Cole Cavanaugh also scored 8 points to help the Hornets earn their second consecutive victory.
In the B team game the Hornets won 32-16 behind 8 points from Tanner Button.
On Monday, the Hornets defeated Liberty 63-2 in the A game and 31-4 in the B game.
The two wins imrove the team to 2-1 on the year. The team will be back in action on Friday, February 28 as they host Coudersport at 4:00 p.m. at the Middle School gym.
