Hornets compete at District Doubles tennis

Four members of the Wellsboro Girls Tennis team competed in District Doubles at Williamsport High School on Saturday, October 17.

Senior Taylor Crawford and junior Faith Kennedy lost in prelims to Shikellamy's Emily Specht and Sierra Gulden 10-11 (5-7), while the team of seniors Maddy Clemens and Shyann Foreman lost in the second round.

Clemens and Foreman beat Lewisburg's team of Samantha Reed and Lauren Shearer 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the second round where they lost to Bloomsburg's Molly Williams and Luaren Cunfer 6-0, 6-2.

The Lady Hornets end the 2015 season at 10-5 (3-3 NTL).
