Hornet Volleyball snaps 4-game losing streak

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team snapped a 4-game losing streak with a 3-0 win against Central Mountain on Monday, September 26.
The Lady Hornets won 25-9, 25-13, and 25-18 to take the non-league match.
Senior Morgan Florio led the Lady Hornets with 16 points, 3 aces, and 6 kills while sister Kirsten Florio scored 13 points with 6 aces, had 8 kills, 2 blocks, and 14 digs. Senior Olivia Kurtz also had 6 kills on the night. Junior Brianne Keane has 12 assists and 4 points (3 aces), junior Hannah Burnett recorded 9 assists, junior Jillian Graver had 4 points (1 ace), and junior Sydney Tremper had 11 digs.
Wellsboro also won the JV game 2-0 (25-15, 25-17) to improve to 10-0.
The win improves the Varsity team's record to 5-5. The team will be back in action later tonight at home against North Penn-Liberty.
