The Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball team improved to 8-1 on the year with a win over Wyalusing on Wedneday, October 5.
The young Lady Hornets won in straight sets, 25-21 and 25-17, for their fifth consecutive win. Chelsie English was the leading server with 7 points and 5 aces, Brie Kemp had 10 assists, and Skylar Runyan had 9. Shiloh Duff (2 hits and 2 kills) and Bailey Monks (2 hits and 1 kill) led the team in spikes, Kemp had two tips, and Kathryn Burnett led the team with 9 passes.
In the B-game, Wellsboro won 2-0 (25-20 and 25-9).
The team will be back in action on Saturday, October 8 on the road in Towanda.
