Middle School Volleyball tops CV, 2-1

The Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball team picked up their third win in a row by defeating Cowanesque Valley 2-1 on Wednesday, September 29.
CV won the first set 26-24 but the young Lady Hornets rallied back to win the second and third sets, 25-19 and 15-11. Brei Kemp (9 points, 3 aces) and Skylar Runyan (12 points, 3 aces) led the team in service points, Skylar Runyan led the team with 11 assists, and Bailey Minks recorded 5 spikes for the evening.
Wellsboro won the B-game 25-16, 25-18.
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 6-1 on the year. The team will be back in action on Monday, October 3 at Athens.
