The Wellsboro Middle School Volleyball team improved to 9-1 with a 2-0 win over Towanda on Saturday, October 8.
The young Lady Hornets won in straight sets, 25-13 and 25-20. Shiloh Duff (6 points, 4 aces) and Bailey Monks (3 points, 4 aces) led the team in service, Skylar Runyan led the team with 9 assists, Bailey Monks was the leader on the net with 3 spikes, 1 kill, and 3 tips.
Chelsie English also contributed on the net with 1 spike, 1 kill, and 1 tip and Duff and Brei Kemp each had 2 kills.
The Wellsboro B-team also won 3-1 on the day. Towanda won the first set 25-23 then Wellsboro won 25-6 and 15-12. Sydney Lee had an amazing run in service with 3 points and 15 aces during the second set.
The team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 12 against North Penn-Liberty.
