The East Juniata field hockey team topped Huntingdon 7-1 on Monday, September 18.
EJ's Emily Knepp scored the game's first goal at 27:33 on an assist from Sarah Goss. EJ made it 2-0 seven minutes later on a Kyli Dowling goal, then pushed it to 3-0 by a Goss goal with 16:50 remaining. Huntingdon then scored their only goal with 10:45 remaining to the cut the score to 2-1.
EJ then exploded for 4 second half goals to put the game out of reach. Frances Brubaker and Laney Dowling both scored two goals each in the second half while Laney Dowling, Kyli Dowling, and Goss assisted on those goals.
East Juniata outshot Huntingdon 17-3 and had a 10-2 advantage in corners. Madison Beward made 2 saves in net.
