Lewisburg field hockey splits pair of games

The Lewisburg Green Dragon Field Hockey team went 1-1 in games against Line Mountain and Shikellamy on Saturday, September 9.
Lewisburg 3, Shikellamy 0
The Green Dragons scored three second half goals in their win over Shikellamy. Allie Mast, assisted by Katie Koch, scored at 26:39 to make it 1-0, Sarah Reif, assisted by Koch found the net at 20:48, and Cassie West scored unassisted at 13:57 to clinch the win. Kerstin Koons made 1 save in goal.
Lewisburg won the JV game 2-0 behind goals from Dana Mangano.
Line Mountain 2, Lewisburg 1
Line Mountain scored two first half goal, one at 13:31 by Cydney Lahr and the other by Ashley Schreffler at 7:58 to put Lewisburg down at the half. Lewisburg was able to cut the lead in half on a Katie Koch goal with 5:14 left in the second half, but were unable to pull off the comeback. Koons made 5 saves in net.
