Four first half goals powered the Midd-West field hockey team past Muncy 9-1 on Monday, October 16.
Brenna Brown recorded a first half hat trick and Beth Wagner scored the other goal for the Lady Mustangs. Breeann Sheaffer assisted on all 3 Brown goals to put Midd-West up 4-0 before the half.
In the second, Aubrey Isaacs and Jaylynn Blair made it 6-0 before Muncy's Lily Moyer scored to break the shutout. Wagner and Erikah Sassaman scored the remaining two Mustang goals. Sheaffer also assisted on every second half goal.
Nicci Piccioni made 1 save for Midd-West and Hannah Myers made 13 saves for Muncy.
Midd-West outshot Muncy 22-2 and had a 10-2 advantage in penalty corners.
The Lady Mustangs improve to 12-5 and travel to Shikellamy this afternoon.
