Hornets compete at Coudersport Booster Invite

The Wellsboro Track & Field teams took part in the Coudersport Booster Booster Invite on Friday, May 4.

For the girls senior Grace Heckman (18.52) was 4th in the 100m hurdles, sophomore Caitlyn Callahan (13.96) was 4th in the 100m, senior Anna Bleggi (6:35.44) was 9th in the 1600m, freshman Alexis Banik (1:10.49) was 9th in the 400m, sophomore Kylie Butler (1:01.08) was 13th in the 300m hurdles, freshman Aislinn Hoose (2:59.83) was 8th in the 800m, and sophomore Savana Baltzley (29.97) was 10th in the 200m.

Seniors Grace Feil (82-ft, 1) and Abby Feil (79-ft, 8) and sophomore Lauren Singer (78-ft, 2) were 7th-9th in the javelin, Abby Feil (72-ft, 2) was 12th in the discus, and Abby Feil (23-ft, 11) and senior Rebecca Janelli (23-ft, 9) were 12th and 13th in the shot put. Sophomore Megan Starkweather (15-ft, 6.5) and Callahan were 2nd and 4th in the long jump, junior Dahlia Hosey (34-ft) was 3rd in the triple jump, and senior Kaitlyne Kramer (8-ft) was 2nd in the pole vault.

The Lady Hornets were 3rd in the 4x800m relay (12:00.76), won the 4x100m relay in 53.47, and were 4th in the 4x400m relay (4:43.84).

For the boys sophomore Aidan Hauser (12.18) was 4th in the 100m with senior Alex Kozuhowski (12.25) in 6th, freshman Tylar Wright (5:47.33) was 20th in the 1600m, freshman Jonathan Wetzel (58.87) was 13th in the 400m, sophomore Brennan Warner (45.85) was 3rd in the 300m hurdles, juniors Aidan Perry (2:22.91) and Trevor Weaver (2:23.02), Kozuhowski (24:04) was 3rd in the 200m, and Wright (12:17.91) was 11th in the 3200m.

Junior Hunter Brown (150-ft, 2) was 2nd in the javelin and sophomore Austin Richards (137-ft, 9) was 7th, Brown (115-ft, 3) was 6th in the discus, and 3rd in the shot put (37-ft, 10).

Hauser (19-ft, 2) was 6th in the long jump, sophomore Frank Kewitt (36-ft, 5.5) was 7th in the triple jump with sophomore Karter Witmer (35-ft, 10.75) in 9th, and Kewitt (5-ft, 4) was 2nd in the high jump.

The Hornets' 4x800m relay took 7th (9:46.6), won the 4x100m relay (45.9), and were 6th in the 4x400m relay (3:54.15).

The Hornets are back at home for Senior Night on Tuesday, May 8 against North Penn-Mansfield and Northern Tioga.
