The Wellsboro Volleyball team picked up a pair of wins on the road in Towanda on Monday, October 8.
In the Varsity game the Lady Hornets swept Towanda while the JV team started the night off with a 2-1 win.
Wellsboro started off with a 25-16 win in the first set, then won both the second and third sets 25-15 to complete the sweep.
Sophomore Breighanna Kemp had a big night with 20 assists, 14 points (2 aces), and 6 digs, junior Caitlyn Callahan had 16 kills and a block, junior Megan Starkweather had 15 assists, 5 kills, and a block, and junior Ryann Adams had 15 digs. Senior Heidi Zuchowski had 10 points and an ace, sophomore Shiloh Duff had 7 points and 2 aces, and sophomore Bailey Monks had 5 kills and 3 blocks.
The win improves the Lady Hornets' record to 11-1 (8-1 NTL Large School Division). The team will be back in action on Wednesday, October 10 as they travel to Williamsport.
