Mount Carmel senior Anthony Moser signed with NCAA Division II Bloomsburg University for track & field on Monday, February 19.
Moser is a four year letter winner who has competed since his freshman year and has earned Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference and District IV honors in the Javelin, 4/800, and 4/400 and last year competed in the PIAA State Track Meet as part of the MCA 4/800 team.
As a member of the MCA's Cross Country Team, who won two District IV Championships, he ran in two PIAA State Cross Country Meets. He is also a member of the school's Boys Basketball Team, where he is three year letterman and two year captain and a entrigal part or the team garnishing this year's PHAC Division 3 Championship and a seat in the District IV Tournament.
Moser will join his brother Tommy at Bloomsburg, a junior, next year and will be the first brother combination in MCA history to compete on the collegiate level and on the same team. Mickel and Luren Hause, MCA Graduates in 2012 and 14 respectfully and alumni members of the MCA Cross Country Team are the first brother and sister combo to compete together in college, as they competed together as members of the University of Misericordia Cougars Cross Country Program. Lauren is currently finishing up her senior year with the team and Mikel has previously graduated.
