Senior Saramae Radel signed her National Letter of Intent on Wednesday, November 14 to continue her field hockey career at Mansfield University.
As a senior Radel helped guide the Lady Seals to a 16-3-2 record and a District IV Class AA championship. In her junior year she recorded 7 goals. This year she finished with 5 goals, 10 assists, and 1 defensive save.
"Playing for Selinsgrove made me grow as a player," Radel said. "The coaches pushed me and helped me become the player I am today and I don’t think that I would be here with out them."
In picking Mansfield, Radel wanted a school that felt like home. She found that in Mansfield.
"When I stepped on campus it felt like home and none of the other schools gave me that feeling."
The Lady Mounties finished the 2018 season with an 8-10 record, but only graduate two seniors. Radel liked the fact the program is growing.
"It's a young and growing program that I am hoping to grow and to grow with it."
