Senior Dahlia Hosey qualified for the PIAA State Championships in the triple jump at the PIAA District IV Championships in Williamsport on Saturday, May 18.
Hosey's jump of 36-ft, 1.25 was her best of this season and came on her first jump of the afternoon. This is also the third straight time Hosey will be heading to Shippensburg in the triple jump.
"Dahlia was actually injured at an indoor practice before our first meet this year," said head coach Elizabeth Hoover. "She actually didn't even participate in the first meet, and didn't do triple jump until our fourth meet. Dahlia is extremely talented and winning gold is a great finish to her high school, triple jump, district career!"
