SELINSGROVE - If coach Marc Persing liked how his young Green Dragons handled the adversity of trailing by 13 points in last week's win over Shamokin, imagine how he felt after Saturday night's 31-10 win over Bloomsburg.
The game was played Harold L. Bolig Memorial Field in Selinsgrove because of Bucknell's Parent's Weekend.
The kickoff was delayed for an hour and 35 minutes, before a second lightning delay with 19 seconds left in the first quarter. Add in an injury to all-time leading rusher Max Moyers and the Green Dragons would seem ripe for the pickings.
However, after falling behind 3-0, Lewisburg would take control.
Nick Shedleski threw for two touchdowns and ran for another, along with two sacks on defense. Ethan Spaulding had a 78-yard TD grab, while Ethan Dominick ran for a touchdown.
Kaiden Spotts had a sack and an interception as well for Lewisburg, which won its third straight game.
The Green Dragons (4-2) will travel to Sunbury to face Shikellamy next week. The game is again on Saturday with a 6 p.m. kickoff for the Braves' Homecoming.
