Sullivan County rallies to beat Selinsgrove to claim Angela Wolfe-Royalty Memorial Tournament

SELINSGROVE - Selinsgrove raced out to an early 13-point lead, but Sullivan County used a huge fourth quarter rally to knock off the Seals, 54-50, and win the Angela Wolfe-Royalty Tournament.
Lexy Gabrielson scored 11 of her team-high 17 points in the first quarter and Veronica Stanford also knocked down two 3-pointers off the bench as Selinsgrove built a 23-10 lead over the Griffins. Sullivan County cut the lead to two at the half, at 30-28, but Gabrielson scored six points in the third quarter as Selinsgrove built its lead back to 43-34.
Sullivan County (7-2), whose only two losses came in overtime to Hughesville and a buzzer-beater to Lourdes Regional, rallied in the final period. Sophia Springman scored 12 of her game-high 21 points in the final stanza to lead the Griffins to the win.
Lizzy Diehl chipped in nine points and Avery DeFazio had seven points for the Seals (3-6).
