Lady Hornets sweep Towanda

The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team swept Towanda, 3-0, on Saturday, October 17.
The Lady Hornets took the first two sets 25-18 then won the third set easily, 25-11, for the sweep.
Junior Emma Owlett had 8 kills, junior Jordan Judlin had 15 assists and 8 digs, senior Breighanna Kemp had 11 assists, 7 kills, and 22 points (6 aces). Senior Kathryn Burnett had 17 digs, senior Shiloh Duff made 2 blocks, senior Olivia Crocco had 7 points and an ace, and senior Bailey Monks had 7 kills, 5 points, and 3 aces.
Towanda won the JV game 2-0 as they edged Wellsboro 29-27 and 26-24.
The win improves the Varsity team's record to 7-2 (7-2 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action on Monday, October 19 against Towanda.
