The Wellsboro Varsity Volleyball team swept Troy to keep their perfect record intact on Thursday, September 17.
The Lady Hornets got the match started with a 25-14 win in the first set, held on to win the second 25-23, and closed out the match with a 25-17 third set victory.
Senior Breighanna Kemp scored 13 points (3 aces) and recorded 8 assists to lead the Lady Hornets while junior Emma Owlett added 6 kills, 7 points, and an ace. Junior Jordan Judlin had 7 assists, 7 points, and 2 aces, senior Shiloh Duff recorded 4 blocks, senior Olivia Crocco had 4 kills, and senior Bailey Monks registered 3 kills.
The Wellsboro JV team got their first win of the season as they also swept Troy, 2-0 (25-20, 25-22) to improve their record to 1-2.
The win in the Varsity match improves Wellsboro's record to 3-0 on the season. The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 22 at Towanda.
