JERSEY SHORE — Selinsgrove's defense limited Jersey Shore to just two first-quarter field goals, and opened up an early 13-point lead on the Bulldogs.
It was just the beginning of a long night for the Jersey Shore offense.
The Bulldogs had just two second-half field goals, and Avery DeFazio scored a game-high 15 points as the Seals rolled to a 57-22 win over Jersey Shore in Heartland Athletic Conference-Division I action.
Cierra Adams scored seven of her 12 points in the opening stanza, while DeFazio had six points as Selinsgrove opened up a 19-6 lead after one quarter.
The Bulldogs were able to cut the lead to 10 points (28-18) at the half, but a dominant second half by the Seals put the game away.
Selinsgrove outscored Jersey Shore, 17-0, in the fourth quarter.
Alyssa Latsha also finished in double figures for Selinsgrove (2-0 overall, HAC-I) with 10 points.
