The Wellsboro Varsity Softball team suffered a 14-0 loss to Cowanesque Valley on Monday, April 25.
Cowanesque scored once in the 1st, 5 times in the 2nd, 6 times in the 3rd, and added 2 runs in the 4th to end the game after 5 innings.
The Lady Hornets had 5 hits on the afternoon, one each by seniors Olivia Servatius and Abbye Cavanaugh, juniors Molly Ingerick and Madaline Bordas, and freshman Alexandra Urena.
Urena and juniors Rylie Boyce and Mariah Borden all saw time in the circle, combining for 12 hits, 11 walks, and 4 strikeouts.
The loss drops the Lady Hornets to 3-9 (1-7 NTL Large School Division). The team is back in action on Wednesday, April 27 at Troy.
