Four members of the Wellsboro Varsity Baseball team were named to the NTL All-Star team as the league released their all-star selections on Tuesday, June 14.
Senior Darryn Callahan and junior Conner Adams were both 1st team selections while junior Cameron Brought and sophomore Caden Smith were 2nd team selections.
Callahan led the Hornets with 32 runs scored had the 3rd most hits (26) on the team. He also stole 9 bases, had a 0.905 fielding percentage, and had 6 doubles, 6 triples, 2 home runs, and 27 RBIs.
Adams finished this season with 26 hits, 23 runs scored, 5 doubles, a triple, and 17 RBIs. He also stole 16 bases, had a 0.897 fielding percentage, and was a part of 8 double plays.
Smith led the Hornets with 32 hits on the season and also scored the second-most runs (30). He had 2 doubles, a triple, 19 RBIs, and hit 0.457. He also stole 9-of-10 bases, had a 0.978 fielding percentage, and was 1-1 on the mound in 12 innings of work.
Brought led Wellsboro with a 0.484 hitting percentage, a 0.595 on base percentage, and was 2nd on the team with 30 hits. He scored 22 runs, hit 3 doubles, and drove in 28 runs. He also led the team with 101 total chances with 0 errors for a 1.000 fielding percentage.
