The Wellsboro Boys and Girls Track teams took home 3rd place finishes against Athens and Williamson at Athens on Tuesday, April 12.
Athens won the girls meet with 102 points, followed by Williamson with 60, and Wellsboro with 26. Williamson took the boys meet with 86 points. Athens was 2nd with 52 points and the Hornets finished with 51 points.
For the girls, junior Ella Posada (19.92) was 4th in the 100m hurdles, junior Kate DeCamp (14.55) was 4th in the 100m and 4th in the 200m (30.37), sophomore Emily Richardson (1:08.79) was 4th in the 400m, and sophomore Maddy Mascho (1:02.44) was 5th in the 300m hurdles. Junior Madeline Gage (2:50.68) was 5th in the 800m, and sophomore Madison Robbins (17:12.30) was 5th in the 3200m.
The Lady Hornets won the 4x100m relay in 56.27.
Sophomore Grace Harlan (24-ft, 5) was 4th in the shot put, sophomore Isobel Anderegg (68-ft, 6) was 3rd in the discus, and sophomore Hannah Gilmour (48-ft) was 7th in the javelin. Freshman Annie Gehman (14-ft, 4) was 3rd in the long jump, 2nd in the triple jump (30-ft, 11), and won the high jump (4-ft, 8).
for the boys, freshman Micah Vickery (20.47) was 3rd in the 110m hurdles and 3rd in the 300m hurdles (50.0), junior Jack Poirier (11.86) and sophomore Dillion Boyce (12.0) were 2nd and 3rd in the 100m, freshman Joseph Busch (59.51) was 5th in the 400m, and Poirier won the 200m (23.92).
Wellsboro won the 4x100m relay in 46.48.
Senior Justice Harlan (35-ft, 7.75) was 2nd in the shot put, junior Wyatt Gastrock (105-ft, 2) won the discus, sophomore Noah Morey (115-ft, 4) was 2nd in the javelin, junior Joe Brown (19-ft, 9.5) and Poirier (19-ft, 3.25) were 1st and 2nd in the long jump, junior Kyle Mosher (5-ft, 6) was 2nd in the high jump, and junior Spencer Wetzel (9-ft) was 2nd in the pole vault.
Both teams will be at the Molly Dry Invite and Mansfield University on Thursday, April 14.
