Warriors take 3rd in tri-meet with Wellsboro, Troy

Canton's Kyle Kapichok had two throwing wins as the Warriors were swept by Wellsboro and Troy in NTL track and field action.

The boys had 48 points, just behind Wellsboro (49.5), while Troy won with 90.5. The girls finished with 35 points as Troy won with 85, and Wellsboro was second with 69.

Kapichok won the javelin (115-feet, 10-inches), and the discus (121-feet, 7-inches). Teammate Caiden Williams (115-feet, 5-inches) was second in the discus, while Anthony Asbury (114-feet, 6-inches) was second in the javelin.

Williams (40-feet, 1/2-inch) was second in the shot put, with Isaiah Niemczyk (39-feet) third in the triple jump. Williams (18-feet, 11-inches) was second in the long jump, as well, while taking third in the high jump at 5-feet, 4-inches.

Canton's 4x400 relay was second in 3:58.42, while their 4x800 (11:09.58) was second, and their 4x100 relay (54.69) came in third.

Niemczyk (55.17) won the 400, with Ashton Rockwell (1:01.84) came in third. Hunter Huffman (15:28.04) was third in the 3200.

On the girls' side Kendall Kitchen (13.09) was third in the 100, with Laci Niemczyk (1:11.63) third in the 400.

Camille McRoberts won the 800 (2:34.04), and the 1600 (5:55.43).

Canton's 4x400 relay won in 4:45.06, their 4x800 relay was second in 11:52.82, and their 4x100 relay was third in 59.19.

Kitchen won the pole vault in 7-feet, 6-inches, as Samantha Brackman was second in the javelin in 71-feet, 1-inch.
