Canton's Kyle Kapichok won the District IV, Class AA Track and Field Championship boys' discus throw with a hurl of 148-feet, 10-inches.
"It's amazing," Kapichok said about being a district champ. "I'm kind of at a loss for words right now, I've been working for this my whole life."
William Colton (119-feet, 6-inches) took 12th in the discus as Anthony Asbury (119-feet, 4-inches) was 13th. Lawrence Halbfoerster (10:49.96) came in 16th in the 2-mile.
On the first day Rian Eberly was seventh in the shot put at 44-feet, 2 1/2-inches, followed by Colton (43-feet, 3-inches) in 10th, and Kapichok (40-feet, 4-inches) in 14th.
In the javelin Wyatt Karpinski (135-feet, 2-inches) and Kapichok (134-feet, 5-inches) were 15th and 16th.
The girls' team came away with a slew of medals, but just missed state marks in several areas.
Kendall Kitchen was fourth in the pole vault at 10-feet even, tying the school record. She was also eighth in the 200 in 27.15.
Daveian Crowley was fourth in the 100 (12.81), fourth in the 200 (26.42), and fifth in the 400 (1:01.42).
Camille McRoberts was seventh in the 1600 in 5:31.16, and took eighth in the 800 in 2:27.30. Alexis McRoberts was 13th in the 300 hurdles in 51.37.
The 4x400 was seventh at 4:15.43, while the 4x100 relay took 16th in 54.47.
On Thursday Alex McRoberts was ninth in the discus at 95-feet, 7-inches.
