North Penn-Liberty swept Wellsboro 3-0 on Tuesday, October 17, sweeping the season series.
The Lady Mounties cruised to a 25-9 first set win then took the second set 25-21 and won the third 25-16.
Senior Natalie Cleveland led the Lady Hornets with 11 digs, junior Lexi Urena had 8 digs and 2 points (2 aces), sophomore Taylor Main had 4 points and 4 assists, and freshman Blake Eckart had 4 points. Senior Olivia Chilson and junior Paige Logsdon had 2 kills each, and Logsdon added 6 blocks.
Ella Swingle 13 kills and 6 digs and Saige Lehman had 12 kills and 12 digs to lead the Lady Mounties.
Wellsboro won the JV game 2-1. They lost the first set 25-9 then rallied to win 25-23 and 15-8.
Wellsboro falls to 10-8 overall and 8-5 in the NTL Large School Division. The team travels to Loyalsock on Thursday.
