Lady Hornets Fall To Wyalusing, 106-44

The Wellsboro Girls Track team suffered their 3rd loss of the season, falling 106-44 to Wyalusing at home on Tuesday, April 11.

Freshman Lilah Parades (14.16) and senior Kate DeCamp (14.21) were 4th and 5th in the 100m, DeCamp (30.83) was 2nd in the 200m with junior Maddy Mascho in 4th (30.99), freshman Alyssa Chilson (1:19.99) was 4th in the 400m, and senior Madeline Gage (2:52.32) was 2nd in the 800m.

Gage (6:25.93) was 4th in the 1600m, junior Madison Robbins (17:30.34) and sophomore Emma Mosher (22:07.56) were 2nd and 3rd in the 3200m, junior Sara Seeling (19.02) and senior Ella Posada (19.53) were 1st and 2nd in the 100m hurdles, and Seeling (54.93) and senior Liliana Cuneo (57.7) were 1st and 3rd in the 300m hurdles.

Wellsboro took 2nd in both the 4x100m relay (56.68) and the 4x800m relay (13:35).

Sophomore Annie Gehman (4-ft, 10) was 2nd in the high jump, freshman Brooke Wheeler (6-ft) was 4th in the pole vault, and Gehman took 2nd in the long jump (14-ft, 11) and won the triple jump (32-ft, 10).

The Lady Hornets swept the shot put with junior Grace Harlan taking 1st (27-ft, 1), junior Hannah Gilmour (26-ft, 4.5) was 2nd, and junior Hannalee Cleveland (25-ft) was 3rd. Gilmour (74-ft, 2) was 2nd in the discus and freshman Rowan Butters (74-ft) was 3rd in the javelin.

The team is back in action this Thursday at the Molly Dry Invite at Mansfield University.
