Wyalusing's Olivia Haley scored a trio of goals to defeat the Wellsboro Varsity Girls Soccer team 3-1 on Wednesday, September 20.
Haley struck twice in the first half, once at 35:13 and the second one just over five minutes later, putting the Lady Rams up 2-0 early on the visiting Lady Hornets.
Junior Cassidy Mitchell cut the Lady Rams' lead in half on a direct kick with 25:35 remaining in the second half, however Haley added her third and final goal with 20:55 left to play.
Wyalusing out shot Wellsboro 11-8 and had a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks. Freshman Jadyn Dunlap recorded 8 saves in goal.
Wellsboro scored a 1-0 win, coming on a 2nd half Dunalp goal, to improve to 2-1-1 on the year.
The loss in the Varsity game drops the Lady Hornets to 2-6 (1-5 NTL). The team is back in action on Saturday against Loyalsock.
